Immediate Warehouse Associate Opportunity
Material Handler- Morning Shift (7am to 3:30pm)
Salary Compensation: $16/hour
No Probationary Period for Health Insurance*
Job Summary: The Receiving Specialist position is responsible for a variety of different warehouse duties. He or she will be responsible for receiving all raw materials, finished goods and packaging. Receiving Specialists must have high attention to detail, excellent focus and organization skills. He or she also supports functions in shipping, inventory control and material handling.
Roles and Responsibilities: - Maintain consistency in the daily receipt of product while striving to meet or exceed goals.
- Inspect all incoming freight for damaged, expired, contaminated, or obsolete product.
- Receive all incoming materials into the system.
- Rotate materials to follow First Expired First Out (FEFO).
- Communicate with purchasing and logistics to ensure products arrive on time.
- Operate forklifts to move, pull, load and unload.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized warehouse.
- Use handheld scanning devices and inventory management system daily.
- Complete all other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: - Must be hard working and able to work in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.
- Must be punctual and self-motivated.
- Ability to work individually and with a team.
- Must be able to perform physical requirements of the position including walking, standing, stooping and climbing.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds without restriction, using proper safety methods.
- Must have excellent communication skills.
- Computer literacy required; must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, and the Internet.
- Demonstrated ability in basic mathematics.
- Must be extremely detail oriented.
- Must be able to work in a facility that handles allergens including but not limited to; wheat, soy, egg, milk, and tree nut.
- Ability to work in open environments, exposed to pungent odors and varying climates.
- Forklift experience.
Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
