We are currently seeking professional model makers who can step in and be productive without training or extensive supervision and have no other work commitments. Ideally, we need you to be able to start right away. Your knowledge and experience with Autocad and Rhino, as well as years working in a professional model shop environment are essential.
We are accepting only experienced applicants who are interested in making a long-term commitment at this time (no interns or contractors in response to this posting, please). We are routinely offer opportunities for interns & contractors, but are needing professionals with experience who are interested in being leaders on teams as we build the business back up from the recession. We are highly organized, have a very clean design studio and facility and are proud to be at the top of our profession.
This is a full-time position. Salary depends on your skill set, your years of experience in professional model making, and your ability to hit the ground running and get the job done. We offer benefits (we currently pay 50%) after a 3-month probationary period.
We are looking for experienced professional model makers with skills in:
– Autocad
– Rhino
– Sketchup
– Laser-cutting (2 Universal Lasers)
– CNC Machining (Delcam or any CAM software, DMS CNC with Fagor controller)
– 3D Printing
– Woodworking
– Spray-painting
– Standard model making tools, processes and techniques (mold making & casting, vacuum forming, sand blasting + standard model shop tools)
– Coordinating and organizing activities
– Keeping the shop clean and organized
– Model design
– Scheduling people
– Managing people
– Estimating models
– Meeting production budgets
– Writing and editing (scope of work)
– Following instructions
– Leading others to achieve quality results on budget
