Job description

My client out of Iowa City IA is looking for a Dental Hygienist. This person will be responsible for providing quality dental care to patients and assisting the dentist in various procedures.

Your duties will include:

Conducting oral health assessments and screenings

Cleaning and scaling teeth to remove plaque and calculus

Applying fluoride treatments and sealants

Taking and developing dental xrays

Educating patients on proper oral hygiene techniques

Administering local anesthesia when necessary

Assisting the dentist during procedures

Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation

Requirements

To be successful in this role you should have the following experience and skills:

Experience in performing vital signs and medical documentation

Knowledge of dental anatomy and oral health conditions

Proficiency in dental software systems such as Eaglesoft Dentrix CAD or Epic

Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus

Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality

Ability to work effectively in a dental office setting

Please note that a valid Dental Hygienist license is required for this position.

Must haves:

Registered Dental Hygienist

A valid Dental Hygienist license

Knowledge of dental anatomy and oral health conditions

Proficiency in dental software systems such as Eaglesoft Dentrix CAD or Epic.
