Job description

Do you have experience in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Math field? Do you want to share your love of the STEM field?

The Sylvan Learning of Iowa is looking for ENTHUSIASTIC, HAPPY, FLEXIBLE TEAM PLAYERS WHO LOVE WORKING WITH KIDS. We specialize in providing personalized fun camps for kids 1st-8th grade through our Sylvan Robotics, Sylvan Engineering, Sylvan Science, and Sylvan Coding classes. We know that having an amazing instructor is KEY to giving students and amazing experience.

Requirements:

• BA/BS preferred
• Previous teaching or training experience preferred
• Thursday evenings (5:00-8:00) availability is a must. Other hours also available depending on season.

Responsibilities:

• Engage and motivate students
• Manage small group teaching environment
• Track and manage individual student performance
• Communicate progress and results to the Center Director
• Attends periodic staff meetings and completes ongoing training as needed
• Completes certification training on Sylvan program taught to students
