Job description
Housekeeping is seeking a detailed person with an eye for and a desire to uphold high cleaning standards set forth by management. Candidate should be comfortable assisting guests with housekeeping (HSK) needs, be proactive in stocking and replenishing cleaning supplies, be comfortable working alone or as part of a team, and be willing to help in other areas as directed by management.
Responsibilities
- General Cleaning
- Clean units as scheduled by HSK management
- Clean according to department standards and expectations
- Deep Cleaning
- Deep clean units as scheduled by HSK management
- Detailed cleaning according to department standards and expectations
- Keep work areas clean and stocked
- Clear away trash and other items from work table and HSK van(s)
- Keep the van and office shelves stocked, and inform management if any supplies are running low
- Other Responsibilities
- As needed, help with laundry (sorting, washing, folding), or other projects assigned by management
Requirements
- A deep and growing walk with the Lord Jesus that includes your personal spiritual growth and the ability to support others in their spiritual growth
- Embrace the vision, mission, and core values of JAARS
- Housekeepers should demonstrate an interest in cleanliness, attention to detail and the ability to perform domestic tasks
- They should have the ability to bend over, kneel, carry supply buckets and/or full laundry baskets (including up and down stairs), be on their feet for several hours at a time, and occasionally move furniture (with help) to clean around it
- Have the ability to work well as a team and on your own
- Drive company vehicles
- Familiarize yourself with multiple procedures depending on the task at hand
- Have some general maintenance knowledge
- Clearly communicate verbally and/or in writing any maintenance issues that may arise
- Be willing to work on some Saturday’s throughout the year, mainly focusing on summer months with prior notice
