Job description
We are currently seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our team. The HR Generalist will play a crucial role in supporting the HR department with a wide range of responsibilities, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, performance management, and HR compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with recruitment efforts, including job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection processes.
- Coordinate and schedule interviews, conduct reference checks, and extend job offers to successful candidates.
- Manage new hire onboarding and orientation processes, ensuring a smooth transition for new employees.
- Provide support with HR administrative tasks such as maintaining employee records, processing paperwork, and updating HR databases.
- Assist in developing and implementing HR policies, procedures, and programs to support organizational objectives.
- Handle employee inquiries and provide guidance on HR-related matters, including benefits, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a positive employee experience and support employee engagement initiatives.
- Administer employee benefits programs and serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries related to benefits. Benefit reconciliation monthly to maintain accuracy.
- Assist with performance management processes, coordinate team check-ins, review performance evaluation information, and update systems with updates.
- Handle employee relations issues and provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies and procedures.
- Assist with unemployment, garnishments, VOE request.
- Assist in time-keeping for weekly prep for payroll processing.
- Track time in service awards and monthly birthdays for celebration and recognition
- Contribute to HR projects and initiatives as assigned by the HR Manager or Director.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in HR, with a focus on recruiting preferred.
- Proficiency in Google Office suite and HRIS software.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Bilingual proficiency (written and verbal) in Spanish is highly preferred.
