BAE Systems’ Precision Strike (PS) Business Area has an immediate opening for a Program Engineering Manager (PEM) for the Precision Guidance and Sensing Solutions (PGSS) Product Line.
As a PEM, the candidate will hold an Integrated Product Team (IPT) lead role for THAAD Advanced Capability Seeker upgrade. This role requires the candidate to be responsible for planning, staffing, budget, schedules, scope management, risk and opportunity management, and team coordination. The candidate leads the Seeker IPT and coordinates with the program leads to ensure all customer needs are met. This consists of cost account management for the hardware, test equipment, and parts management efforts to get the EMD program through integration and qualification.
This role will be staffed in Nashua, NH at our Spit Brook Road facility, location of the current THAAD team and factory.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for execution of all efforts within the product team, including prime product development, test equipment, and interface with operations.
- Provides technical leadership of a project within the programmatic guidelines set by the program manager, overall program PEM, and customer.
- Monitors project to ensure work scope, schedule, and budget are well defined and maintained.
- Leads team in planning and execution per company process. Provides the coordination between functional managers and Product Line Leads.
- Interface with customers to brief status, progress, and path forward for projects.
- Serves as the Engineering focal point for all activity within program including strategic planning, bid and proposal support for engineering content, integrated engineering plans on programs, issue reporting, and risk and opportunity management.
- Cost Account Management.
- Drives continuous improvement of product team.
- Ensures project safety per company practices, processes, and policy.
*Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship* Required Education, Experience, & Skills - Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years of professional experience
- Active Secret clearance
- Demonstrated program engineering leadership.
- Minimum 2 years engineering experience leading engineering for high quality and high reliability sensors/seekers or related technologies.
- Proven leadership managing projects and interfacing with customers.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills - 5+ years’ experience leading programs in EOIR technologies
- Experience with engineering leadership in $25M+ Tech Maturation or EMD programs.
Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $128700 - $218790

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
