To support our mission, we are hiring a Public Safety Platform Product Manager to develop the strategic technology foundation for the entire Oracle Public Safety Suite (OPSS) and have a broad cross-functional leadership role, working closely with subject matter experts across product management, sales, and consulting
Responsibilities
What you will do:
Establish strategic vision and direction:
Establish, refine, and execute our product strategy for developing our integration and migration strategy across other public safety software vendors, government databases, and other ecosystem players
Frame and develop Oracle Public Safety Suite’s value proposition and identify strategic growth opportunities by working closely with 6 product management peers, VP of Product, Business Unit GM, and senior Oracle executives including the CEO/CTO
Drive commercialization and go-to-market:
Collaborate with sales and marketing leaders to refine product positioning, pricing, and go-to-market
Lead the development of sales and marketing collateral including video and written content and sales presentations
Review and guide sales presentations with prospective clients
Will support the launch of International Sales of the Public Safety offering with internal presentations via Zoom to Oracle team members globally and potential customers in early discovery meetings.
Customers include Heads of State Police, State Health and Public Safety, and Cabinet Members
Ensure customer success and guide service delivery:
Guide Solution Consulting team to ensure the depth of product knowledge and technical ability exists to present the product and share the Oracle story in this product development to clients
Design and refine our implementation consulting strategy – we are transforming the way enterprise software is delivered to public sector customers
Work closely with the Implementation team to ensure the accurate configuration of the product to meet clients requirements and expectations
Synthesize and prioritize product feedback from the front-line consulting teams that is shared with leadership and development team for modifications/enhancements where needed
Guide customer communications during the implementation process
Understand customer needs and achieve product-market fit:
Develop a deep understanding of clients’ needs through client interactions, market research, user feedback and competitive analysis for the Public Safety Platform Product
Define product needs and own product roadmap
Identify and build compelling software solutions to address customer needs in collaboration with an elite team of engineers and designers
Drive strategic alignment and cross-team collaboration
Organize and lead ongoing products and interdepartmental activities, while taking in customer issues and requests, helping to triage and prioritize fixes and features.
Communicate product priorities across the organization using data and qualitative judgment.
Create appropriate team-wide goals and metrics for features and iterate based on results post-launch.
Present product wide updates and results across the business unit
Who we are looking for:
BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. An MBA is not required but can be advantageous depending on accompanying work experience
World-class management consulting experience is strongly preferred
8 or more years of software engineering, product management, management consulting or related technical experience
Knowledge of multiple functional areas such as Product Management, Engineering, UX/UI, Sales, Customer Support, Finance or Marketing.
Strong executive presence and ability to influence multiple collaborators, achieve strategic goals, and drive product strategy based on research, data, and industry trends
Knowledgeable about software-as-a-service (SaaS), modern software design and development principles, and emerging technology trends
Law enforcement / public safety confirmed experience is not required but may be advantageous
Leadership experience in product management is a plus
2+ years of product management experience shipping complex B2B/B2C products from concept to launch at a leading tech company, start-up, or consulting client
3+ years of business, design, and tech competence which enable productive discussions with sales, designers and engineers

US: Hiring Range: from $114,500 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
