The Partnership Marketing team of forward-thinkers constantly pursues new ideas to help Disney’s many lines of business drive value. By aligning with best-in-class brands, the team executes out-of-this-world campaigns across the globe. An intern with the Partnerships Marketing team will gain valuable experience with Disney’s corporate partners while supporting cutting-edge programs and partnerships.
A Day in the Life…
Interns in this department will assist the operations and sales teams in carrying out needed tasks to push forward Partnership Marketing deals across all of the Walt Disney Company’s franchises (Disney, Marvel, Pixar, Lucasfilm, etc.). The Intern will develop skills and knowledge by working across a vast corporate landscape while helping Disney’s Partnership Marketing efforts .
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
Creating decks using Keynote, PowerPoint, and/or Photoshop
Researching consumer buzz on our partner programs and in-market activations
Identifying applicable content from TWDC's portfolio for project-specific initiatives
Researching active brands and/or agencies with an eye on current trends
Attend meetings with high-level stakeholders – Directors, VPs, etc.
Updating/maintaining data and generating reports
Assisting the department as needed, while collaborating with corporate team members across multiple time zones and offices
What you bring to the role...
Proficient with Keynote and Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and PowerPoint
Able to be flexible, resourceful and thrive in a fast-paced, changing, and growing corporate environment
Ability to maintain highly confidential and sensitive information
Strong written and verbal communication skills within a professional setting
Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills, with attention to detail - proactively handle several projects at once under pressure
Ability to work well with cross-functional teams - comfortable working collaboratively with team members at all levels and sharing thoughts and ideas
Ability to work independently and be a self-starter
Possess a natural curiosity - when presented with information, takes initiative to figure out the “whys” and the “whats”
It would be nice if you also have...
Knowledge of Adobe Software Suite, including Photoshop
Possess a strong interest in the corporate side of the entertainment industry
Strong desire to gain experience with the business side of marketing campaigns
Required Education:
Currently pursuing, or recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Business, Marketing, Sales, Partnerships, Communications, or a closely related field
Internship Eligibility:
Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class, or be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last six (6) months at the time of application, or be currently participating in the Disney College Program, or Disney Internship Program
Must possess unrestricted work authorization
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must not have already completed two consecutive (spring/fall) Disney College Programs or Disney Internship Programs
Additional Information:
The approximate dates of this internship are January 2024 – June 2024
Candidate must be available to work full-time hours (approximately 40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship
Must be able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the session
Must be able to provide own housing and transportation for work in the Burbank, CA area. Also requires a working, reliable internet connection as well as a quiet, dedicated workspace at home
