Job description
We are looking for an Automation Engineer to join our team responsible for the design and programming of automated systems. This position requires extensive knowledge and experience with automation systems, PLCs, FDA regulations, cGMP, and related technologies. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter who can work both independently and in a collaborative environment.
The Automation Engineer will be responsible for:
- Designing and programming of automated systems.
- Developing and maintaining all related PLC and HMI programs.
- Ongoing maintenance and upgrades of existing automation systems.
- Providing technical support to operations and maintenance personnel.
- Ensuring that automated systems are compliant with all applicable FDA regulations and cGMP requirements.
- Providing technical leadership and guidance to other team members.
Candidates must possess:
- Extensive knowledge and experience with automation systems, PLCs, FDA regulations, cGMP, and related technologies.
- Proficiency with Allen Bradley, Siemens, DeltaV, Rockwell, Emerson, AVEVA, Wonderware, and OPC systems.
- Proficiency with Ethernet, Profibus, and DCS networks.
- Knowledge of GAMP and Eudralex/Annex guidelines and processes.
- Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative environment.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
It is preferred that candidates have experience with the following:
- Pneumatic systems and components.
- System Controls, programming, and automation engineering.
- 21 CFR Part 11/FDA regulations.
- Biotech and biotechnology.
