InfraHire is looking for a Probate Paralegal in Philadelphia, PA.
Job Description:
The candidate will collaborate closely with clients, undertaking responsibilities that encompass all stages of probate. This involves working alongside me on the creation of estate planning documents, progressing through to the final signing day.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate effective communication skills in order to serve as the primary point of contact for clients.
- The candidate is expected to establish a strong rapport with clients and beneficiaries, fostering a positive and collaborative working relationship throughout the estate administration process.
- Create probate and administration documents for both formal and informal proceedings, managing tasks such as the administration of accounts, court petitions and filings, accounting, orders, deeds, certifications, etc. Additionally, coordinate non-probate administration activities following the decedent's passing.
- Gather, assess, and organize the financial records of the deceased, encompassing tax returns, inter vivos trust agreements, gift tax returns, and financial statements.
- Assess the value of the decedent's assets as of the date of death and any applicable alternate value date(s), while also determining the liabilities of the estate.
- Prepare Pennsylvania inheritance tax returns.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience is a requirement.
- Specialized in Probate Administration within the practice area.
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is expected.
- Prior experience as a paralegal in a law firm is preferred.
