Manager of PMO and Estimating Job Description
Position Summary: The Manager of PMO and Estimating will be responsible for overseeing the Program Management and Estimating department while the department handles multiple projects of varying complexities throughout the entire project life cycle (estimating through delivery), providing customer support by leading project‐related communications regarding schedule; contract changes; and quality issues. This successful candidate will oversee their direct reports and foster their growth. They will help maintain quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards, analyzing and resolving issues, and providing recommendations on improvements. The candidate will also assist with deployment and implementation of continuous process improvements. They will establish and streamline processes to maximize efficiencies within the department. They will assist with recruiting and training employees while also establishing KPI's that align with the company's goals.
FLSA Classification: Salary Exempt
Type: Full-time
Work hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm; Some weekend work may be necessary.
Hours may be adjusted at the discretion of your supervisor.
Salary Range: $105,000 - $125,000 annually
Reports to: Company President
Location: 80% onsite at 1055 E Francis St. Ontario, CA 91761, with 20% travel to Hera East, Cape Canaveral, FL
Essential Job Duties (which include, but not limited to):
• Oversee the Program Management and Estimating department and foster their growth.
• Establish training curriculum. Provide training and resources for the direct reports to manage the day-to-day activities.
• Manage workflow at higher level and handle escalation issues directly with the customer.
• Maintain quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards, analyzing and resolving issues, and providing recommendations on improvements.
• Work on continuous process improvement to streamline processes.
• Monitor and improve department KPI's that align with the company's goals.
• Interface with customers concerning Purchase Orders and contracts, ensuring that the projects are clearly defined.
• Perform assigned project management to produce results on time and within budget,
with project status reporting to customers and management.
• Estimate project costs, develop quotes, and assist with proposals by interfacing with outside processors and material suppliers.
• Assist with expediting and movement of materials and parts throughout the production process.
• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables. Establish and implement project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time/within budget, adheres to high‐quality standards, and meets customer expectations.
• Responsible for developing project plans and team assignments, directing and monitoring work efforts, identifying administrative resource needs, assist with performing quality reviews; identifying risks and escalating issues appropriately.
• Conduct project status update meetings with management and deliver timely progress reports.
• Work effectively with external & internal resources (consultants, contractors, and customers) to ensure collaborative partnerships to meet business requirements.
• Responsible for contract administration, supplier/contractor management, and negotiations.
• Support 5-S and adhere to health, safety, and environmental company guidelines.
• Perform cross-functional operations.
• Participate in recruitment efforts by evaluating applications and resumes, selecting candidates to interview, assessing qualifications, and identifying candidates to hire.
Minimum Qualifications:
• High School graduation or GED.
• 5 years of Program/Project Management experience in an AS9100 aerospace manufacturing job‐shop environment and/or supply chain management.
• Ability to effectively communicate verbal and written technical information related to CNC machining, fabrication, and quality.
• Ability to prioritize and react to project changes.
• Excellent planning, organization, and problem‐solving skills.
• Excellent PC skills - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project.
• Effective communication skills; demonstrated ability to interact across a broad range of organizational levels and functions.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills to be able to complete assigned percentage of simple and/or complex assignments.
• Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written English.
• Ability to learn to perform cross-functional operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or technical discipline.
• Six Sigma Green or Black Belt.
• Project Management Certifications PMP.
• APICS CPIM.
• Working knowledge of JobBoss ERP software.
• Aerospace manufacturing estimating experience.
• Production & inventory control experience (expediting and material handling) would be a plus.
Work authorization and Clearances:
• Must be authorized to work in the US.
• Must be willing to undergo a criminal background screening and credit check.
• Must be able to pass a physical examination including a drug and alcohol test.
Work environment:
• Most of the work hours are in an air-conditioned open office with an assigned cubicle and comfortable seating; will require limited walk-throughs in the production area which is not air-conditioned, is noisy, and requires adhering to safety protocols.

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to safely lift at least 25 lbs.
• Must be able to navigate warehouse and use hands and arms to reach, feel or handle items both high and low.
