As a Technology Manager, you will ensures that all the Cooperative's technologies and related equipment operates efficiently, effectively, and securely. Provide system/technology support, development, maintenance and project management for all technology-related hardware and software, etc. to meet current and future needs of the Cooperative. To effectively manage all technology-related vendor relationships, providing an internal customer service-oriented management style and is responsible for staying abreast of new and emerging technology that may be of use in the cooperative environment.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A TECHNOLOGY MANAGER
Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred in Technology Management or related discipline. MBA or Master's Degree in related field are strongly desired.
Experience: Must have at least 10-12 years experience in information technology, with 5 years of technology leadership. Extensive technology related experience will be weighed with the educational preferences.
Knowledge: Must have a working knowledge of PC hardware, software and connectivity, LAN/WAN data communications and telecommunications equipment and applications. A working knowledge of the Microsoft Office 365 software currently used by the Cooperative is desired along with knowledge of VMWare, UNIX/Linux, Windows 10, Windows Server 2016, Veeam backup and recovery and NISC iVUE administration/support.
Must have a working knowledge of telecommunications systems and interface systems. A working knowledge of Cisco Routers, Mytel phone system and Palo Alto firewall is also necessary. A practical knowledge of rural electric cooperatives, general data processing applications and technology industry "best practices" would be helpful
