Job description
Kosmo Machine, a premier full-service precision machine shop, is on the lookout for two seasoned Dimensional Inspectors to bolster our Quality Control Department. We specialize in CNC milling and turning, EDM machining, custom welding processes, and critical component reconditioning. As a Dimensional Inspector, you will be instrumental in upholding our high-quality standards and verifying the geometric accuracy of our precision machined parts.
Eligibility Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Must pass background check, drug test, and provide updated copy of Motor Vehicle Report.
Compensation
Compensation ranges from $25 to $36 per hour (hourly pay type; non-exempt FLSA class) or $52,000 to $74,880 annually, based on qualifications and experience.
Qualifications
- Experience in CNC and/or manual precision machining and contract manufacturing/job shop is mandatory.
- Quality experience in a machine shop with Metrology and MSA is preferred.
- Proficiency in assessing the geometric characteristics of precision machined parts. Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) is a must.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as surface plate, height gage, indicators, calipers, micrometers, gage blocks, thread gages, Faro Arm, and CMM.
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-process, visual, and dimensional inspections of precision machined parts using a variety of precision measuring instruments.
- Interpret customer blueprints or drawings, identify improper callouts/datum structures, and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T).
- Identify and report non-conformances to uphold our high-quality standards.
Work Schedule
- Monday through Thursday from 6 am to 4:30 pm.
