Overview:
The ideal candidate for the Chief Operating Officer (COO) role is a dynamic and hands-on leader, capable of navigating the complexities of a rapidly growing small business in the medical device manufacturing sector. This individual thrives in environments that require a balance between strategic oversight and direct involvement in operational activities. The candidate must possess a robust blend of technical expertise, leadership qualities, strategic thinking, and operational efficiency, w ith a personality that is adaptable, fast-paced and energetic to drive execution. This COO will not just be a suit-and-tie executive but will be deeply involved in the day-to-day operations for 3 sites and 200+ team members, bringing a mix of assertiveness and approachability to the role.

Requirements
Core Competencies and Qualifications:
Education: B.S. degree and/or MBA, preferably in Engineering.
Experience:
- At least 10 years of experience in an ISO13485 or higher environment
- A successful track over the last 10 years record in senior operations management within a large, multi-site medical device manufacturing setting.
- At least 5 years of engineering experience in a contract manufacturing environment.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
- Proficient in Factory 4.0 and Lean manufacturing initiatives
- Demonstrated Experience in Supply Chain and Materials Management
- Deployment of automated production cells
- Demonstrates a strong ability to develop people and teams
- Demonstrates a sense of urgency in project delivery
- Demonstrates the capability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
