Job description
Position Overview: The Bridge Superintendent will be responsible for supervision and coordination of bridge construction projects for the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate all aspects of bridge construction projects, including safety, budgeting, scheduling, and quality control.
- Identify potential problems and risks during the construction process then develop and implement solutions.
- Provide clear instructions and guidance to subcontractors to ensure successful and timely completion of projects.
- Communicate with general contractors and project owners to ensure projects are being completed to specifications.
- Inspect all bridge construction work to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
- Schedule and coordinate materials, labor, and equipment for bridge construction projects.
- Ensure that construction projects adhere to relevant regulations, laws, and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in bridge construction.
- Knowledge of sitework, retaining walls, bridge infrastructure, concrete paving, and underground utilities.
- Experience working with design-build and site superintendent projects.
- Experience with heavy civil, bridge and structure, bridge, heavy highway, highway, concrete, excavation, and earthwork projects.
- Experience with railroad, bridge inspection, and civil engineering projects.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
