Job description
Job responsibilities:
- Orients and trains all department staff
- Evaluates performance of employees and takes corrective actions as necessary
- Supervisors all maintenance assignments in an effort to decrease the number of outside vendors brought into the facility (focuses on completing work “in-house”)
- Maintenance boilers, hot water generators, fire alarm system and other fixed equipment. Contacts outside contractors as needed.
- Directors employee in-services, monthly fire drills, and alarm tests and maintains records of these activities
- Collaborates with other department directors to coordinator interdepartmental activities or work efforts.
- Ensures that residents’ maintenance needs are attended to in an efficient and timely manner.
- Assists in writing and updating emergency plans which include procedures in the event of medical emergencies, equipment breakdowns, fire or other disasters. Meets with appropriate municipal personnel to coordinator plans.
- Schedules and directs security personnel for overnight procedure for safety and security of residents and employees.
- Ensures building is in compliance with New Jersey and DOH regulations
