Title: Business Developer
Reports to: VP of Sales
Location: San Marcos, CA  (San Diego County)
Compensation: Base Salary range $85k - 95k, Commission of 4%, Healthcare, Life Insurance, 401k match, Take Home Vehicle with Gas Card, PTO, Cell, Laptop


Objective:
As a Business Developer, you will be responsible for identifying new opportunities to sell annual landscape maintenance services to Commercial properties in the designated local market. This will be the only Commercial sales representative in the local market so there is a lot of potential.

This position will develop a target list of viable properties who can benefit from commercial landscape services.

You will develop relationships with property managers, show them the benefits of working with our client, will work with the Estimating Team to develop proposals and will present proposals to the client in order to gain their approval and signature.

We are looking for annual sales of $1 million or more per year and therefore we need someone who is experienced with selling service agreements, is able to leverage our clients reputation in order to differentiate their services compared to the competition, can uncover and address pain points that property managers have experienced with other providers and can ultimately develop the trust with the client in order to close them on using our clients services.

Quali fi cations:
• Minimum of 3 years’ business-to-business commercial contract sales
experience in the service industry, (preferably Green Industry)
• High level of integrity and commitment to excellence.
• Experience in B2B sales. Including a track record in commercial services
sales experience.
• A proven track record in prospecting and closing qualified commercial
work.
• A hunter mentality to uncover opportunities and develop targets.
• Great organizational skills and ability to manage time.
• Natural ability to meet new people and build relationships.
• Competitive Spirit and Drive to Succeed.
• Proficient with computer software programs including MS Office suite
(Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
