As a fast-growing start-up in a rapidly evolving category, we're looking for a dynamic Director, Product Marketing who can propel our product messaging and sales enablement to new heights. The position is based in San Mateo, CA. Qualified candidates must live within the San Francisco Bay Area and be able to commute to our office.
The Role
As the Director, Product Marketing, you will be a pivotal figure in shaping our platform and products’ market presence. Your role involves a blend of strategic thinking, creative messaging, and deep collaboration with cross-functional teams. Your leadership across the GTM motion and executives will be crucial in navigating the challenges of leading an emerging market, marketing the platform while helping to sell our solutions, and working across our various stakeholders - sales, marketing, and partners -to help craft our platform and product GTM strategies.
Our ideal candidate is both a "doer" and a leader. We are a tight company and we are looking for folks who like to make things happen across the company. They are great communicators, very collaborative & affable, and have direct experience in product marketing. They are culturally sensitive and possess high levels of emotional intelligence. They know what it is like to operate in scale-up and how to nurture and build a team. They know how to give clear directions and to get their team to optimize output.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Messaging : Develop and refine our core platform and product messaging to clearly articulate our unique value proposition. Your work will span across various channels including our website, blogs, webinars, videos, and events.
- Market and Product Expertise : Become the go-to expert on our product's functionalities, technical aspects, and competitive landscape. Create compelling content that showcases the technical superiority of our platform, educates the market on the potential of RevOps Data Automation, as well as sells our solutions at key entry points atop the platform.
- Sales Enablement : Empower our sales team with engaging, customer-specific content and tools. Lead enablement sessions to boost their confidence and effectiveness in pitching our products.
- Market Intelligence : Stay ahead of market trends and developments, providing insights that guide our positioning and go-to-market strategies.
- Drive targeted growth : Define product strategies and collaborate with demand generation to continue to grow our market, expand/profile target segments, and create high-conversion campaigns. Ensure our messaging resonates with our target audience's pain points and objectives.
- Accelerate sales funnel: Stay connected to the revenue funnel to define quarterly product GTM strategies that not only grow ACV, but remove friction from deal cycles with targeted content, enablement, and campaigns.
- Content Creation : Produce a steady stream of technical and sales content, including labs, demos, videos, blogs, and webinars, to educate our audience about the capabilities of our platform.
- Thought Leadership : Establish our brand as a thought leader in RevOps through regular external content, enhancing our social presence and industry influence. Establish yourself as a voice in the community to both shape the market as well as be a trusted evangelist to support large-deal opportunities by highlighting our products and vision.
- Product Launches and Roadmap Influence : Collaborate with product and engineering teams to drive product launches and contribute to the product roadmap with where we will drive revenue growth.
Requirements:
- 5+ years in B2B marketing, preferably in the tech or data automation sector.
- Quick learner with a deep curiosity about our industry, products, and processes.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a knack for storytelling.
- Proven ability to work independently and drive new initiatives with minimal oversight.
- Strong collaborative skills and experience working with C-level executives.
- Background in data integration, CRM automation, and operations is highly desirable.
Salary Range - $160,000 - $180,000
