Job description
Under direct supervision and in accordance with the training and education of the Medical Assistant Program with Mercy College, the student will participate in the delivery of patient care that promotes the safety and well-being of all patients. Accurately performs preliminary physical tests such as: measuring and recording blood pressure, weight, temperature, pulse, respirations, and other measures as directed by established protocols. Adhere to MercyOne's performance expectations and performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with the Mission, Vision and Values of MercyOne. * Must be Eighteen (18) Years of Age or Older. * High School Graduate or GED with GPA of 2.25 or Higher. Transcripts are Required for Enrollment. * Must Enroll in and be Accepted to the Mercy College Medial Assistant Program. * Agree to work as a MercyOne Medical Assistant for two (2) years after successful completion of the Medical Assistant program. * Ability to work with diverse groups of people. Ability to effectively interact with other health care professionals and the public. Ability to present a positive image. Ability to organize and prioritize tasks.
