Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented payroll coordinator to oversee our company's payroll operations in our Tampa office. In this role, you will be responsible for processing payroll, administering benefits, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws.

Responsibilities:

• Process bi-weekly payroll for all employees including salaries, hourly wages, overtime, bonuses, commissions, etc.
• Verify hours worked and approve time off requests.
• Update payroll records with salary changes, garnishments, benefits enrollment, tax withholding forms, etc.
• Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare reports for management.
• Ensure accurate payment of payroll taxes, 401k contributions, insurance premiums, etc.
• Resolve any payroll discrepancies or issues.
• Administer employee benefits programs including health insurance, 401k, etc.
• Educate employees on payroll and benefits policies.
• Comply with federal, state and local payroll regulations and tax requirements.
• File required payroll forms and tax documents in a timely manner.

Requirements:

• Associate's degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• 3 years payroll experience, including knowledge of ADP or similar payroll system.
• Understanding of payroll best practices and compliance standards.
• Excellent math, accounting and computer skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
