Job description
Cleveland Brothers, the largest Cat® dealer in PA, northern West Virginia and western Maryland, has an opportunity for a Corporate Communications Manager in Murrysville, PA.
This is an exciting opportunity for a driven strategic communications professional to contribute to the company's success by effectively managing its corporate reputation and public image. In this central role, you will develop and execute strategies to effectively communicate the company's messages, values, and achievements to various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy:
- Partner with leadership to create, curate, and execute the communication plans for our strategic growth initiatives. The first major initiative is the implementation of a new ERP system and associated workstream activities.
- Develop and implement comprehensive corporate communication and public relations strategies to enhance the company's reputation and promote its brand.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with members of the media, bloggers, influencers, and key stakeholders to secure positive coverage and build brand visibility.
- Support executive leadership in preparing for media interviews, speeches, presentations, and other public appearances.
Media Relations:
- Serve as primary point of contact for media inquiries, interview requests, speaking opportunities, and coordinate responses and written articles.
- Capture company and customer events to generate media interest and enhance brand awareness.
- Monitor media coverage and industry trends, analyze impact on the company, and provide recommendations for proactive communication strategies.
Content Creation and Management:
- Create engaging and compelling content for press releases, media pitches, articles, blog posts, social media posts, and other communication materials.
- Occasional travel (driving) to branch locations and jobsites.
- Community Engagement - monitor and respond to social media comments, queries, and online reviews and direct to appropriate personnel.
Analytics and Reporting:
- Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure effectiveness of communication efforts.
- Generate regular reports and provide insights for continuous improvement.
Internal Communications
- Develop and maintain internal communication channels to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with company goals and values.
- Lead and drive content for digital signage, CBTV, and The Hub.
- Drive employee engagement and recognition: positively feature employees outwardly to enhance company brand.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, human resources, and legal departments to ensure alignment of messaging and communication efforts.
Perform other duties as required to support Marketing
Skills/Qualifications:
- Strong media relations skills, with experience securing positive media coverage and building relationships with journalists and influencers.
- Strategic thinker with ability to develop and execute communication plans that support business objectives and corporate reputation goals.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent communication, writing and collaboration skills.
- Strong project management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Team player, experienced in a collaborative work environment.
Education / Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related field.
- Demonstrated experience and success in corporate communications, public relations, media relations, or related field, preferably in a B2B or corporate environment.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, concise, and compelling messages tailored to different audiences and platforms.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, media monitoring tools, and social media platforms.
