Job description
Innovative Midwest engineering firm is hiring a Structural Engineer to join their team!
Responsibilities:
- Plans, schedules, conducts and/or coordinates engineering work for a wide range of project types and materials
- Perform conventional engineering duties as well as more complex tasks (conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, difficult coordination requirements
- Prepare structural calculations and plan layouts
- Perform construction administration tasks including completing RFI’s, submittal review, and site observation visits
- Comply with project schedules
- Monitor project progress using input from Project Manager
- Represent firm at external meetings
- May supervise/train junior staff
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum
- 5+ years of experience
- PE License
- SE License preferred
- Proficient in AutoCAD/Revit
- Member of professional organization preferred
