Job description

Reports To: Club Service Manager, Director of Food & Beverage & General Manager

Job Summary: Timely, courteous, and efficient food service to members and guests

Working Hours: Varied, Weekends & Holidays necessary

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Must have bartender and fine dining serving experience of at least 6 months.
  2. Good customer service skills.
  3. Able to work well under pressure.
  4. Excel in a fast pace environment.
  5. Great attitude and team player.
  6. Open availability. Willing to work nights, weekends and holidays.
  7. Must clock in on a biometric fingerprint scanner.
  8. Must be on time and will not clock in any earlier than 5 minutes than the scheduled time.
  9. Must be in clean pressed uniform prior to entering the building.
  10. Sets up the side station and performs work assigned by Club Service Manager/Director of Food & Beverage.
  11. Provides immediate friendly, positive, and attentive attention to all members/guests upon seating.
  12. Accurate order taking for food and beverage. Service of orders in a timely, efficient manner per standard operating procedures.
  13. Knowledge of the menu and how all items are prepared.
  14. Provide suggestions to the members for menu selections.
  15. Must clock in and out properly in Club Essentials software to open and close chit.
  16. Serves meal; places dishes by courses in front of each person; serves from the left of the person.
  17. Checks back to ensure member/guest satisfaction; replenishes water and butter as necessary.
  18. Bus table as needed.
  19. Suggests and serves dessert, coffee, and after-dinner drinks.
  20. Prepares & presents the chit in a timely manner. Ensure the members sign the chit.
  21. Remains readily accessible and attentive to members always.
  22. Must be willing to learn and remember member names.
  23. Advises Club Service Manager/Director of Food & Beverage of any complaints as soon as they occur.
  24. Must close chits and receive a chit summary after each shift.
  25. Must check out with the Club Service Manager/Director of Food & Beverage prior to leaving premises.
  26. Maintain a high level of safety and cleanliness and keep service in an orderly fashion always.
  27. Breakdown and cleaning of all service areas.
  28. Must be functional with the POS system.
  29. All other duties assigned by management.
  30. Must be willing to work with co-workers as a team.
  31. Must be able to work rapidly during rush periods and follow requests of management without questions.
  32. Ability to communicate and understand the directions of management.
