Job description
Reports To: Club Service Manager, Director of Food & Beverage & General Manager
Job Summary: Timely, courteous, and efficient food service to members and guests
Working Hours: Varied, Weekends & Holidays necessary
Additional Responsibilities:
- Must have bartender and fine dining serving experience of at least 6 months.
- Good customer service skills.
- Able to work well under pressure.
- Excel in a fast pace environment.
- Great attitude and team player.
- Open availability. Willing to work nights, weekends and holidays.
- Must clock in on a biometric fingerprint scanner.
- Must be on time and will not clock in any earlier than 5 minutes than the scheduled time.
- Must be in clean pressed uniform prior to entering the building.
- Sets up the side station and performs work assigned by Club Service Manager/Director of Food & Beverage.
- Provides immediate friendly, positive, and attentive attention to all members/guests upon seating.
- Accurate order taking for food and beverage. Service of orders in a timely, efficient manner per standard operating procedures.
- Knowledge of the menu and how all items are prepared.
- Provide suggestions to the members for menu selections.
- Must clock in and out properly in Club Essentials software to open and close chit.
- Serves meal; places dishes by courses in front of each person; serves from the left of the person.
- Checks back to ensure member/guest satisfaction; replenishes water and butter as necessary.
- Bus table as needed.
- Suggests and serves dessert, coffee, and after-dinner drinks.
- Prepares & presents the chit in a timely manner. Ensure the members sign the chit.
- Remains readily accessible and attentive to members always.
- Must be willing to learn and remember member names.
- Advises Club Service Manager/Director of Food & Beverage of any complaints as soon as they occur.
- Must close chits and receive a chit summary after each shift.
- Must check out with the Club Service Manager/Director of Food & Beverage prior to leaving premises.
- Maintain a high level of safety and cleanliness and keep service in an orderly fashion always.
- Breakdown and cleaning of all service areas.
- Must be functional with the POS system.
- All other duties assigned by management.
- Must be willing to work with co-workers as a team.
- Must be able to work rapidly during rush periods and follow requests of management without questions.
- Ability to communicate and understand the directions of management.
