Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Geriatric Clinical Nurse Manager to join our team! As the Geriatric Clinical Nurse Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the geriatric nursing department’s operations. You will train and supervise home care aides to improve competency, complete supervisory visits for clients in their homes, initiate client's services through initial assessments, develop and manage clients' care plans, and implement quality assurance strategies to improve patient care. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with a deep understanding of best practices in both nursing and administration.

Responsibilities

Create and implement short and long-term success strategies for the agency's continued success

Identify and address the agency's weaknesses

Provide leadership and foster engagement of nursing and non-medical personnel

Serve as a liaison between clients and other external healthcare providers

Serve as a liaison between agency staff and agency administration

Promote the agency's vision, mission, core values, philosophy, and culture

Research and implement new approaches to improving client care

Evaluate, track, and report on company performance and goals

Provide direct client care as needed

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Clinical Nurse Manager (Geriatric) is preferred

The required licensing/certification to perform this role

Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Case Management experience

Quality Assurance management experience

Extensive knowledge of clinical risk management and healthcare technology

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Deep understanding of health care policies and regulations
