Job description

Summary

Child's First Child Care Center is looking for a dedicated, energetic, and fun teacher t o promote school readiness using the 4K (P4J) curriculum components in partnership with the School District of Janesville. To plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program, according to district and state requirements.

This position will be available for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year, but could start part-time or full-time as soon as Spring/Summer 2024!
Typical hours are 7:45-3:45, Monday-Friday during the school year with some flexibility on additional scheduling over the summer months.

Duties

• Coordinate and implement educational curriculum by developing classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards, and according to School District of Janesville's 4K curriculum components.
• Foster a stimulating learning environment where children are actively engaged and encouraged to succeed.
• Implement cultural competence and celebrate diversity within the classroom.
• Complete all required records and assessments.
• Facilitate conferences with families.
• Plan and support family involvement through regular communication and events.
• Participate in designated School District trainings, meetings, and activities.
• Follow school district and daycare licensing requirements.
• Knowledge of child development, learning theories, and developmentally appropriate practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood or Elementary Education
• DPI Certification 3.06 (N-K) or 3.065 (PK-3) required
• Knowledge of child development, learning theories, and developmentally appropriate practices
• Competency in utilizing the Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards
