As a supply chain coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth flow of logistics operations within our organization. Your primary focus will be managing the materials and logistics side of the business, becoming an expert in all items that move within our organization. This role demands a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a deep understanding of logistics and material management procedures. This position reports to the Director of Operations.
Responsibilities: 1. International and local Shipping Management - Coordinate and oversee the end-to-end process of international shipments, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to regulations.
- Collaborate with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers to streamline shipping procedures.
- Manage documentation, including customs clearance, shipping manifests, and import/export documentation.
2. SAP purchasing / Materials management - Utilize SAP S4 Hanna software to track and manage inventory levels, shipments, and order fulfillment.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date data entry into SAP for rental and service contracts
- Track all incoming and outgoing material so it is appropriately transacted.
3. Collaboration and Communication - Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including customer support, warehouse, and production teams, to align logistics activities with overall business objectives.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, carriers, and other external partners to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations.
4. Compliance and Risk Management - Stay current on international trade regulations, sanctions, and compliance requirements.
Desired Skills
Qualifications / required skills: - Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Relevant job experience is also considered.
- Proven experience in logistics within a manufacturing environment, focusing on international shipping.
- In-depth knowledge of SAP software and its application in logistics, invoicing, and supply chain management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work with an extended team in Italy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- This position will be in the office full-time
Target compensation is $82k - $92k per year plus a bonus based on company performance.
