About the Role
Reporting directly to the Director of Events, the Event Coordinator I will play a pivotal role within our Marketing & Events department. This position involves organizing and coordinating internal and external relations efforts, overseeing special projects, and managing various meetings and events, both large and small. We are looking for a goal-oriented individual with a proactive attitude who can thrive in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with the recognition team to organize event recognition activities.
Develop and execute employee recognition programs.
Coordinate onsite meeting preparations, including ordering supplies and packing/shipping event materials.
Manage travel, lodging, and expenses for meeting participants.
Project manage deliverables with team members to ensure deadlines are met.
Coordinate correspondence with speakers, sponsors, and exhibitors.
Assist with daily administrative tasks and complete various administrative duties.
Support team expense reporting processes.
Handle incoming calls and emails, addressing issues and relaying messages as needed.
Prioritize conflicting needs and follow through on projects to successful completion.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience
Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
Three to five years of experience providing support or coordinating meetings and events.
Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) certification is a plus, but not required.

Skills & Abilities
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and Social Media platforms.
Ability to learn new software and project management tools.
Excellent writing, editing, and research skills.
Ability to work independently and with discretion.
Strong time-management and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of other languages and international customs is an asset.
