Job description
Atlantic Health System is seeking a Per Diem Environmental Aide I for the Environmental Services Department at Overlook Medical Center. Required hours vary, including every other weekend and on-call.

Essential Function/Responsibilities:
- General cleaning, empty trash, high/low dusting, mop floors, sanitize all furniture inpatient rooms, clean commode, clean bathrooms and discard debris, remove soiled linen and replace with fresh linen in patient rooms.
- EVS Aide will also need to work at Union Campus.
- Position includes cleaning of bodily fluids.
Requirements:
- HS Diploma/GED or Equivalent required or will obtain within 2 years of employment.
- To provide a safe environment to our patients, we require that all candidates must be able to read, write and speak English.
- Solid work history a must.
- Need to meet the fit testing requirement.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs.
- If 16 or 17 years-old, valid working papers required.
Relevant Experience:
- Prior experience in housekeeping in either a hospital or institutional setting or a related field preferred.
- Prior Floor-care experience preferred.
