Role :: ServiceNow Developer
Location :: Brooklyn, OH- Onsite
Duration :: Contract (long term)
Role Description:
- This ServiceNow developer will join a small team developing existing Domino business applications in the ServiceNow Platform as part of a Domino Decommission project.
- As a member of this team, you will develop ServiceNow custom applications that meet unique business needs according to requirements given, ServiceNow best practices, and KeyBank ServiceNow development standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for designing and implementing solutions for each application requirement. KeyBank resources will be available if guidance is needed at any point.
- Create appropriate user roles, permissions, and access controls according to KeyBank Policies & Standards.
- Complete administrative tasks associated with setting up AD Groups and Identity Management forms used for provisioning application access to users.
- Implement Column Level Encryption (CLE) when an application contains senstive data. Security is a critical aspect of application development.
- Create flows and flow actions to implement event-driven actions using ServiceNow's automation capabilities.
- Integrate ServiceNow custom applications with third-party systems/applications via APIs (as required).
- Create data imports for existing Domino application records or historical data (as required).
- Thoroughly test application or application components before moving code to QV.
- Identify and fix issues, while optimizing performance when possible.
- Create ServiceNow automated tests using the Automated Testing Framework (ATF);
- create manual tests when functionality cannot be tested using ATF.
- Create documentation that includes application design, configurations, and code for future reference.
- Advise and assist application owners in their custom application implementation.
Essential Skills:
- 3+ years' experience administering ServiceNow applications including application design, source code management, and User Interface design.
Ability to demonstrate experience and knowledge with the following:
- Scripting languages such as JavaScript, PowerShell, HTML, and CSS.
- Integrating ServiceNow with external systems through SOAP or REST web services.
- Design, development, and implementation of ServiceNow components including, but not limited to, business rules, data policies, client scripts, UI policies, UI actions, notifications, ACLs, Flow Designer Flows, portal pages, portal widgets, reports, dashboards, and third-party integrations.
Desirable Skills:
- Extensive knowledge of JavaScript.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work and collaborate effectively on a sprint-based software development team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with frontend frameworks such as AngularJS used in ServiceNow Service Portal.
- Experience using UI Builder to create custom workspaces and portal pages.
