Job description

FLO EV Charging is hiring an on-site Quality Assurance Engineering Technician in Auburn Hills, Michigan:

This role is based out of our Auburn Hills, MI manufacturing facility. The Quality role attests conformity of the products and certifies the fulfillment of standard requirements after performing quality assurance and control activities. They closely work with all manufacturing team leaders. The Quality Assurance Engineering Technician will functionally report to the Facilities Manager USA.

IN THIS POSITION, YOU WILL:

⚡ Validate the quality and confirm their compliance of the products, and then authorize their release.

⚡ Manage the facility quarantine area, coordinate supplier returns (RMAs), and disposition nonconforming materials according to company guidelines.

⚡ Participate in the implementation of control plans, for incoming inspection as well as for the assembly and shipping.

⚡ Leading or participating in continuous improvement initiatives such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or Total Quality Management (TQM) to enhance processes, reduce defects, and optimize efficiency.

⚡ Monitoring and inspecting production processes, identifying defects or deviations from specifications, issuing quality alerts and implementing corrective actions from root cause analysis to address.

⚡ Collaborating with Quality Manager to establish quality standards, evaluate supplier performance, and address quality issues related to purchased components or materials.

⚡ Identify nonconformity in assembled products and for supplier parts, perform root cause analysis and ensure that effective corrective actions are performed.

 ⚡ Working closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, production, supply chain, and customer service to address quality-related challenges and drive quality improvements throughout the organization.

⚡ Responsible of the certification audits preparation and follow up

⚡ Coordinate the facility calibration program.

⚡ Participate in local continuous improvement projects and initiatives.

⚡ Write and deploy quality alerts on the assembly lines.

⚡ Manage dock holds.

ABOUT YOU

🔌 Associates degree in Electrical or mechanical engineering, or equivalent.

👩‍🏭 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and/or Quality Control.

📘 Good knowledge and understanding of the ISO 9001:2015 standard, and of the concepts of Lean, Kaizen, and operational excellence.

💡 Relevant experience with an ERP/MRP system, the Microsoft Office Suite, and Microsoft Power BI.

✔️ Rigorous, being able to demonstrate high analytical skills and having very good observation skills, the candidate takes initiatives and reacts swiftly when the situation call for it.

ASSETS

⚡ Lean or Lean Six Sigma certification

⚡ Knowledge and experience in measuring and testing equipment (calipers, height gauges, transducer)
