Overview: The primary functions of this role include HR management for the location, as well as payroll for 30 employees and oversight of 1 accounting employee.

Role: Human Resources, Payroll and Accounting oversight
Salary: $30-$32/hour pay rate// $62k-$66k range
Hours: The preference for this role is to be 30 hours / week – however we are considering those interested only in full time opportunities

What’s a typical day as a Human Resources and Accounting Generalist? You’ll be:
Ensuring compliance in day-to-day operations of human resources, including employment, payroll, employee relations, orientation, benefits, and compensation.
Maintaining employee records/files and ensuring compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
Developing and maintaining relationships with brokers and vendors for employee benefits plans.
Managing group benefits enrollment process and benefits administration.
Reconciling monthly benefits invoices.
Managing workers compensation administration, including claims reporting and management.
Serving as a point of contact for payroll and benefits inquiries.
Assisting with recruitment, interviewing, hiring, orientation, and termination processes.
Organizing meetings and maintaining records for the company Safety Committee.
Maintaining and updating the Employee Handbook.
Handling transactional posting of payroll financials and production of financial reports using QuickBooks software.
Assisting with the preparation and maintenance of records for tax returns.
Overseeing accounting operations, including A/R, A/P, general ledger, payroll, and banking.
Assisting benefit vendors with compliance testing and government filings/reporting.
Recommending and maintaining lines of business insurance.
Overseeing month-end and year-end close process.
Complying with government reporting requirements.
Ensuring timely processing and distribution of year-end documents.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
Have a minimum of 4+ years of similar experience in HR
Experience with QuickBooks or similar ERP
Payroll experience (ADP experience preferred)
Experience in HR from a manufacturer
Basic accounting knowledge as this role oversees one accounting clerk – all other accounting is outsourced
Have education in HR or Accounting/Finance or equivalent work experience.
Are available to work part-time, 30 hours per week within normal office hours (Monday – Friday 8a – 4p).
Have strong knowledge of HR and Accounting principles and regulations.
