Job Title: Digital Marketing Specialist
FLSA Status: Non- Exempt/Hourly
Rate: $22 . 00
Reports to: Marketing & Communications Manager
MISSION:
The mission of the YMCA of the Foothills is to organize, develop, finance, and conduct programs for an association of persons of all ages that will, by putting Christian principles into practice, enrich the quality of their lives spiritually, mentally, physically, and socially.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Digital Marketing Specialist , as a key member of the Marketing and Communications Team will perform a variety of functions in support of the Corporate and Operations Teams through the development and implementation of ongoing promotions and visual content to be used on all platforms , including but not limited to : the Website, E-Newsletters , d igital m edia (Lobby TVs, Fitness Equipment , TV ads ) , traditional promotional items (flyers, newspaper ads , billboards , etc ) and s ocial m edia that will help support the overall storytelling of our mission and initiatives.
Additionally, t he Digital Marketing Specialist will collaborate with the MarComm Team to build storytelling for the association using creative content and design to advocate and promote the Y mission in alignment with national branding standards. This includes understanding project goals, deadlines, and financial accountability to meet creative content and budget requirements.
This individual must have versatile project management knowledge as well as advanced technological knowledge and computer skills. Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite , MS Office Suite , and other design platforms such as Canva . Must have excellent verbal communication , copywriting experience, and creative development skills. This position will communicate with the CEO, corporate -level staff, board members, donors, YMCA members, and volunteers, and must have the confidence and ability to express and deliver information effectively.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Maintain, monitor , and provide feedback on campaigns developed in Daxko Engage.
- E xperience in v ideo editing and proficiency with Adobe Premiere and Final Cut Pro is a plus.
- Manage, create, and write copy for original, high-quality content to achieve marketing targets.
- Provide feedback to the Marketing & Communications team on project timelines, potential challenges, suggestions, and ideas to bring a project idea from concept to completion .
- Seek and maintain current knowledge and awareness of programs, events, and marketing campaigns to encourage participation in all Y programs and events.
- Use various technical skills and software to complete production, including the entire Adobe Creative Suite
- Be creative and able to work with subject matter experts to turn ideas into compelling , impactful promotions.
- Work in a team environment with stakeholders from various departments, including Mission Advancement, Membership , and Programs .
- Stay up to date with current marketing channels and opportunities.
- Present the YMCA of the Foothills in a way that best connects with our community, investors , and stakeholders and establishes trust in our organization through transparent advocacy and passion for our mission.
- Promotes the Y and well - being opportunities, programs, and benefits at the Y and in the community. Communicates information about the YMCA and connects members to resources within the Y and the community.
- Follows and enforces YMCA policies and procedures, including those related to medical and disciplinary situations, child abuse prevention, emergencies, dress guidelines, and cleanliness standards.
- Communicates well and always maintains positive relations and rapport .
- Act as representative of the YMCA of the Foothills at all times .
- Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Position requires a friendly, enthusiastic, conscientious and people-oriented leader with demonstrated knowledge and skills in the areas of digital media and graphic design, as well as project management
- Undergraduate degree or AA in graphic design , marketing, public relations, communication s , or related area ; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Three (3) years previous experience in Content Creation , Digital Media, and /or Marketing - preferably in the YMCA and/or not-for-profit sector
- Must be able to model the core values : Caring, Respect, Responsibility, and Honesty
- Must have commitment to the mission and cause of the YMCA and uphold its values and ethics
- Ability to work effectively with people of different backgrounds, abilities, opinions and perceptions
- Ability and desire to build lasting relationships
- All YMCA - specific trainings and certifications within first 30 days
- CPR and First Aid certifications required within the first 180 days
- Bilingual in Korean, Spanish or Armenian is a plu s
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Sufficient strength, agility and mobility to perform essential functions of position and to supervise program activities.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee frequently is required to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift, push, pull, and/or move up to [40] pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
