Water Resource Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Water Resource Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing engineering designs, analyses, and plans for various water resource projects. The Water Resource Engineer will ensure that project objectives are met by determining the best engineering solutions to meet the project's objectives and regulatory requirements.

Position Overview

The Water Resource Engineer will work with the engineering team to design, analyze, and develop solutions for water resource projects. This may include developing hydraulic models to analyze water flow, stormwater management systems, erosion control plans, stream mitigation, and drainage design. The engineer will also work to identify opportunities for improvements to existing systems and be involved in the planning and execution of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, analyze, and develop engineering solutions for various water resource projects.
• Develop and utilize hydraulic models to analyze flow, sediment transport, and water quality issues.
• Review existing systems for opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Develop engineering plans for stormwater management, stream mitigation, and erosion control.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications and cost estimates.
• Review and approve engineering plans and documents as required.
• Coordinate with other departments, vendors, and stakeholders as necessary.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) preferred.
• Experience in hydrology, hydraulics, construction, and water resource engineering.
• Proficient with HEC-RAS, AutoCAD, and other computer modeling software.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
