Job Title – Sanitation Worker
Company Location – Long Beach, CA
On-site | Full Time | Temp-to-Hire
Start Time will be either 5pm or 7pm
Pay - $20hr.
Job Summary of the Sanitation Worker position Integr8staff seeks an experienced Sanitation Worker to be responsible for detailed sanitation and sterilization of all production supporting equipment to ensure the safety and quality of the company’s products.
Responsibilities of the Sanitation Worker position Understand machine operating and adjusting procedures to effectively disassemble and assemble equipment for proper cleaning and sanitizing.
Use required PPE and follow appropriate handling procedures at all times while handling or using cleaning and other hazardous agents.
Ensure that work areas and common areas throughout the facility are clean and free of dirt, debris and grease build up in accordance with applicable SOPs, SSOPs, GMPs and safety regulations.
Use chemicals in a safe manner, following all manufacturer’s instructions.
Use Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) procedures when cleaning, assembling or disassembling equipment.
Understand terminology related to the Clean-In-Place (CIP) process.
Clean plant production equipment and facility to meet food safety requirements.
Operate cleaning processes, systems and equipment as trained and specified.
Ensure quality assurance pre-operations inspections (Pre-Ops) are compliant with applicable SOPs and regulations.
Responsible for basic troubleshooting of sanitation equipment.
Must be flexible when unexpected changes in production occur.
Establish and maintain effective communication and collaborative working relationships with coworkers across departments.
Report any equipment malfunction, unsafe practices or working conditions immediately to Supervisor on duty.
Perform other duties as assigned and requested by management
Requirements of the Sanitation Worker position High School diploma, GED or equivalent preferred.
Basic working knowledge of equipment and machinery
Basic understanding of LOTO
Must be able to read and understand charts and gauges
Basic math skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to multi-task
Able to read, write and understand English preferred
Able to work flexible and weekend hours in accordance with to production demand
