Job description
Key Responsibilities
· Manage day to day operations of the existing cost accounting function from management of current rates to monthly close and analysis
· Review and analyze cost accounting data and assist with cycle count/physical inventories
· Prepare and book monthly end close journal entries for Inventory and Cost of Goods Sold
· Prepare monthly general ledger account reconciliation and analysis for Inventory accounts
· Prepare ad-hoc schedules for management
· Coordinate with Operations to resolve any BOM/Recipe related issues to ensure accurate formula costing
· Provide support during the annual audit process by working with the auditors to answer queries and provide analysis as required in a timely manner.
· Participate in special project work as required
Required Skills
· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting; CMA or pursuing CMA preferred
· 3 years of standard cost accounting
· Must be highly analytical and inquisitive with strong organizational abilities, keen attention to detail and ability to meet monthly deadlines and goals
· Strong working knowledge Microsoft Office; proficient in Excel, Access and Word, experience working with ERP systems, Netsuite a plus
· Excellent organizational, managerial, interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills
