Job description

Apollo Technical has an immediate need for a Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst in the Waxahachie TX area

Summary/Scope of Role: The FP&A Analyst is responsible for assisting with financial forecasting,
budgeting, and analysis to support strategic decision-making across the organization, assisting
Purchasing/Production with maintaining accurate inventory costing and valuation, as well as providing
strategic financial insights to support the organization's growth and profitability.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Prepare weekly Cash Flow forecast and provide analysis to the CFO and CEO
2. Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports, including variance analysis to budget, and
provide other pertinent information beneficial to management
3. Compare current month's inventory valuation report to prior month and investigate any significant
changes in quantities or unit costs
4. Maintain Direct Labor and Overhead Burden Allocation model and provide analysis to
management for possible ERP system updates
5. Assist in preparing and maintaining annual budget, forecast models, and other long-range
financial plans
6. Develop and maintain financial models for various business units and projects
7. Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant information for financial analysis
9. Prepare ad-hoc financial analyses and reports as needed to support decision-making
10. Review capital expenditure proposals and analyze the potential ROI
11. Routinely apprises the CFO of issues that arise requiring immediate attention
12. Assist with and perform ISO 9001 and AS9100 duties as needed
13. Assist in the evaluation of potential investments, mergers, and acquisitions
14. Continuously improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy
15. Other duties as assigned, to include but not limited to assisting the CFO and CEO with financial-
based tasks and assignments

Required Skills/Key Competencies:
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Must be able to maintain and update advanced data analysis spreadsheets
• Must be able to understand financial data in a designated ERP software system
• Must possess statistical and analytical knowledge, using general business mathematical skills
• Must possess the ability to compose standard business reports with proper format, grammar,
punctuation, spelling, and the use of graphs and charts
• Must have exceptional organizational skills and be results-oriented
• Must be able to understand complex issues and problems, and possess the ability to reach sound
resolutions to each problem
• Must be professional, must maintain confidentiality, and be able to work well independently and
with others at all times
• Knowledge of working with Power BI and SQL a plus
Other Requirements:
• Must comply with and meet all pre-employment requisites, including but not limited to criminal
background check prior to start date, and pre-employment and random drug testing in
accordance with Company policy for the duration of employment
Education/Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, preferred; or 3-5 years of FP&A experience in a
manufacturing environment
• 2+ years’ experience in FP&A role, required; experience in Manufacturing environment required
