POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The City is looking for employees who are committed to public service and possess a willingness to be challenged. The Wastewater Treatment Department is recruiting for "Wastewater Operator I/I. "
SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
With the direction of the Utility Superintendent and Chief Operator. Responsible for assisting in the complete operations of the wastewater treatment facilities in a manner that ensures safe and properly treated wastewater in accordance with standards, legal requirements, and City policy.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Formal Education:
§ High school diploma or GED.
Relatable Work Experience:
§ 2 years of utility or plumbing experience preferred.
Training (License and/or Certification):
§ Required to have a Class "C" Texas Driver's License.
§ Valid Class "C" Wastewater Treatment Operations Certification through TCEQ or ability to obtain within 2 years.
