Integrated Healthcare Pharmacy, LLC is full retail pharmacy created to service all AltaPointe patients. It's goal is to increase patient adherence
to their medication compliance by providing a convenient, customer centered option.
The location is in our Adult Outpatient Program, where we provide the least restrictive level of care to adults so that they may receive clinical interventions aimed at decreasing existing signs and symptoms. Outpatient treatment focuses on recovery, problem resolution, symptom reduction, stabilization and/or prevention of movement to a higher level of care. Treatment varies widely and depends upon the consumer’s presenting symptoms.
Primary Job Functions:
Responsible for the distribution of medication to consumers
- Properly identifies consumer profile and medication to ensure its correct dispensation
- Collects dispensing fees or makes necessary arrangements for payment
- Provides proper receipt for fee collected then distributes medication
- Answers telephone for pharmacy department
- Checks for refills
- Prepare labels and assist consumers with getting new prescriptions
- Enter new consumers into computer and assess PAP eligibility
- Receives stock medication from wholesaler and PAP shipments
- Assists walk-in consumers with obtaining refills or new prescriptions
- Assists medical staff with obtaining consumer prescription history
- Prepares list and labels for group homes and outreach clinics
- Receives medication requests from consumers
- Conducts appropriate consultations with other staff members in reference to consumer medication
- Assists consumers with application for Patient Assistance Program
- Maintain prescription and supply stock
- Maintains prescription and drug administration files
- Assists in filling of medications and counting inventory

High School graduate or equivalent; State of Alabama Pharmacy Technician Certification, one year related experience, knowledge of computers and data entry. Pharmaceutical experience desired.
