Position Overview:
This position offers remote or hybrid work options, based out of our offices in Lake Worth, FL; Waltham, MA; or Chicago, IL, with flexibility to accommodate EST business hours. Anticipated travel may be required, up to 25-30% of the time, based on business needs. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer work sponsorship for this role.
As a Senior M&A Business Development Associate within our rapidly growing, tech-driven company, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our continued success through strategic mergers and acquisitions. With your entrepreneurial mindset, you'll actively collaborate with our management team to source deals, foster discussions, and cultivate key relationships, driving our M&A initiatives forward.
Your Responsibilities:
Identify and cultivate acquisition prospects aligned with our criteria
Initiate and maintain relationships with potential targets through proactive outreach
Conduct market research to evaluate potential acquisitions, gathering financial and operational insights
Execute outbound prospecting activities, including calls and emails, to engage with target companies
Develop and nurture connections with industry leaders
Follow up on prospecting activities promptly and professionally
What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent experience required
5-7 years of hands-on experience in high-volume M&A transactions
Ability to initiate a high volume of calls/conversations per day, with flexibility to work outside of standard business hours as needed
Strong independent work ethic, with the ability to communicate effectively with prospects and business leaders
Positive, driven personality with exceptional communication skills
Preferred: Experience in corporate development/strategy/M&A, sales, or software/technology
