Description Just 4 Kids Health is seeking a Registered Nurseto provide remarkable patient care for our pediatric patients. The RN will perform a variety of nursing duties including blood draws, catheterizations, breathing treatments, and various lab testing. Just 4 Kids Urgent Care is open Sunday - Saturday from 10:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m., including most major holidays.
Duties and Responsibilities - Takes patient history and obtains vital signs prior to provider seeing the patient.
- Performs basic testing and screenings.
- Completes corresponding computer work for lab tests ordered on blood, urine, tissue, and culture samples.
- Performs subcutaneous, intradermal and intramuscular injections and accurately documents according to the policy for that procedure.
- Dispenses and documents prepackaged medications and other treatment modalities.
- Assists providers with exams and procedures.
- Performs procedures as instructed by the provider (ear irrigation, eye irrigation, nasal suctioning, IV placement, and IV hydration).
- Maintains confidentiality with all patient information (HIPAA).
- Operates and maintains in-house lab equipment.
- Ensures a superior patient experience, by embracing the Just 4 Kids mission and values.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications The preferred RN will have the following:
- Must hold a valid Idaho nursing license.
- Current BLS and/or ACLS certification required (certification is offered in-house).
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Keen observational and problem-solving skills.
