Manufacturing Engineer Job Opening
Key Duties:
- Design comprehensive processes based on customer needs, including almen strip placement, almen fixture design, and the creation of part holding fixtures, alongside developing saturation curves and ensuring part coverage meets industry standards.
- Engineer processes for aerospace components critical to flight safety, utilizing computer-controlled machines for air blast peening, adaptable for nozzle and lance applications.
- Guarantee compliance with general shot peen specifications and specific customer requirements for flight safety.
- Produce essential process documentation for the production team using CAD software, compile flight safety plan documentation for customer review, and provide audit support to uphold Nadcap accreditation.
- Perform additional tasks as necessary.
Requirements:
Basic:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a minimum of 4 years’ engineering experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Over 5 years of process engineering experience, specifically in shot peening aerospace components.
Essential Skills:
- Expertise in almen strip and fixture design.
- Proficient in designing part holding fixtures.
- Capable of developing saturation curves and ensuring part coverage meets or exceeds industry standard specifications.
- Experienced in managing flight safety aerospace component processing using computer-controlled machinery.
