Job Description and Duties

Under the general direction of the Principal Property Appraiser (PPA), the Senior Specialist Property Auditor Appraiser (SSPAA) independently performs or leads a group of auditor appraisers in the performance of the most complex unitary valuations and the most difficult and complex audits of state assessees records. The incumbent independently, or acting in a lead capacity, performs the most difficult and complex capitalization rate studies, replacement or reproduction cost studies, and other special studies related to unitary property valuation. The incumbent leads in the preparing of, or independently prepares, written analyses of audit findings, written appraisal narratives, and position and issue papers dealing with property valuation, property assessment or other division related issues.


Travel throughout the state up to fifty percent (50%) of the time by automobile and airplane may be required.
