Specializing in highend protein offerings our client serves Florida s upscale Hotel Restaurant and Country Club market processing and distributing Beef Veal Lamb Pork Poultry and Provisions throughout South and Central Florida as well as into the Caribbean.

Position Summary:

The Controller role oversees all financial operations ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP. Responsibilities include fullcycle accounting financial statement preparation internal controls and process improvements.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Manage fullcycle accounting processes including month/year end close accounts payable/receivable payroll and revenue recognition.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP including proper revenue recognition according to ASC 606 and lease accounting under ASC 842.
• Prepare and review financial statements and balance sheet reconciliations providing explanations for variances.
• Collaborate with management to develop budgets and forecasts.
• Lead annual audit processes and implement internal control enhancements.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting CPA preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of corporate accounting experience with 2 years in a leadership role.
• Preference for experience in Consumer Goods/Distribution/Manufacturing industries and familiarity with private equity environments.
• Strong understanding of GAAP proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP accounting software.
