Job description
The Sanders College of Business and Technology offers a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), BS in Computer Science (BSCS), and BS in Information Technology (BSIT). The BBA is included in programs accredited by AACSB, the premier accrediting institutions for business schools. The BSCS, BSIT, and BBA in CIS are accredited by ABET. The college has approximately 2,700 students, including the largest MBA program in the state of Alabama. The college offers an MBA degree both online and in Florence, Alabama, and the Executive MBA online and in China and Taiwan. Specialty graduate degrees include the Master of Accountancy (MAcc) and the Master of Health Administration (MHA). The Executive DBA (EDBA) program began it fourth doctoral cohort in January of 2024. In addition to traditional business majors, the college offers majors or minors in innovation, professional sales, information technology, and user experience. The college operates a business incubator for students who desire to create their own businesses and is extensively involved in economic development through its Institute for Innovation and Economic Development. We also deliver strategic planning seminars and consulting across the United States and in several countries through our Agile Strategy Lab and Center for Learning and Professional Development.

Candidates must possess a doctorate from an accredited institution in one of the following disciplines: Accounting, Computer Information Systems/Computer Science/Information Technology, Economics, Finance, Management, Marketing, Data Analytics/Statistics, or closely related field. While candidates from all business disciplines are encouraged to apply, priority will be given to those who have demonstrated knowledge and skills to best contribute to teaching and research in our Executive Doctor of Business Administration program. The successful candidate will have evidence of effectiveness in the classroom and a record of producing publications necessary for the college to meet current AACSB International accreditation standards. Also, experience serving on and chairing dissertation committees is a plus.
