Year round climate control shop; Regular work schedule Monday - Thursday 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM

This position qualifies for a $1,500.00 sign-on bonus.

Hendrick Screen Company is currently looking for a Welder for our Kentucky location.

Duties of Position:

The individual who functions in this position must carry out all of the day to day functions associated with being a Welder. To qualify as a Welder an individual must be able to perform all of the following:

1. Weld on all types of metals.

1. Make any type and size weld, such as ""V"" lap, butt, etc., preheating parts when required.

1. Operate mig, tig, and plasma cutting equipment.

1. Assemble and tack weld parts, constructing special features as required.

1. Fabricate all screen weldments as required.

1. Maintain good housekeeping in work area.

1. Perform other duties and assignments as required including those when reassigned or transferred and regardless of whether duties are related to his/her normal duties.

Qualifications:

Education:

A High School Diploma, GED, Basic welding diploma with instruction in MIG and TIG processes from an accredited institution, or equivalent experience.

Skills:

Requires ability to assemble from blue prints, sketches, and instructions.

Requires ability to certify in AWS D1.1.

Requires ability to weld processes as GMAW, GTAW,.

Requires ability to pass NDT and DT testing.

Requires ability to weld all types of metals

Requires ability to operate gouging plasma cutting equipment.

Experience:

1-2 years experience in a fabrication environment.

Supervision:

Minimal supervision after initial training period.

Physical Demands:

Requires ability to lift 60 lbs. unassisted; 80 lbs assisted.

Standing for extended periods of time.

Stooping, bending stretching as necessary. Requires good hand to eye coordination.

Working Conditions:

Work is performed in a well lighted, well ventilated clean manufacturing environment, in a climate-controlled shop.
