The Job:
As a Commercial Analytics Director, you'll be part of our T&O Commercial team, working as a virtual employee. You'll get to:
- Act as commercial SME in all IR commercial metrics and performance management reporting covering sales force effectiveness, line of business profit and loss statements, and related performance management KPIs across the North American team.
- Lead and coordinate weekly cross-functional, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, Supply Management, and Demand Planning & Order Fulfillment teams, S&OP (Sales & Operations Process), enabling an integrated, agile, market responsive, and synchronized strategic approach.
- Assist the Regional Sales Directors in the annual territory re-alignment and goal setting, maintaining necessary data and systems for commission, reporting and access purposes.
- Break down business unit financial rhythms and metrics to regional levels and consult with business units to build commercial data and analytics capability tied to business and growth strategies.
- Develop a customer profitability scorecard and KPIs. Identify the best use of data and action items to improve customer profitability. Integrate the data analysis and models into commercial systems and processes to support decision-making.
- Craft a compelling vision and global data/analytics strategy in support of all commercial initiatives and teams. You will gain alignment on this vision and strategy across the organization.
- Lead Commercial Analytics Managers and Coordinate with North America Business Leadership and IT to develop Commercial Data Strategy.
- Lead the design and development of advanced analytics/AI/ML models for use cases such promotional response, Salesforce effectiveness and optimization, Market Penetration Analytics, demand forecasting, voice of customer/NLP analytics and commercial opportunity assessment among others.
- Evolve Sales Force effectiveness to be a competitive advantage by generating competition and category insights and building analytics capabilities to understand actual versus targeted performance, ROI and business drivers.
- Collaborate with Channel and Finance leads on analysis of commercial metrics to drive business strategy and plans through analytics tools and line of business Profit and Loss statements.

- 7+ years of data and analytics experience in manufacturing/consumer products
- Proven analytical experience integrating digital with offline data for richer business insights.
- Deep technical experience in:
- Designing ETL process and other data acquisition strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality.
- Designing data models for both star schema and relational databases that are optimal for reporting and analytics.
- Expertise in market research and customer insight development and applications. Ability to understand market trends, financial data, customer needs and assess competitive intelligence data.
- Thorough understanding of data management, data science, data privacy, and governance
