CLEARANCE REQUIRED : Active DoD T S/SCI with FS Polygraph
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time, On - site
POSITION SUMMARY
Modern Government Solutions (MGS) is actively seeking an innovative Software Developer to contribute to the development and maintenance of multiple mission-critical applications for our Intelligence Community (IC) customer . In this role, you will collaborate directly with the customer to assess end-user needs, design effective solutions, and seamlessly integrate them within existing applications.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop custom web applications integrating AI/ML models and proprietary forensic tools.
- Engage with external organizations to stay abreast of cutting-edge tools and methods, integrating them into our applications.
- Operate within an agile team, utilizing methodologies like Scrum to deliver software capabilities iteratively in small batches.
- Implement unit and integration tests for developed software, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to stay current with the latest technologies.
- Develop and iterate best practices to enhance the quality and velocity of deployments.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Active Department of Defense (DoD) TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph security clearance.
- B.S./M.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related Technical Degree; 9 years' experience as a software developer in lieu of a degree.
- 5 years of relevant experience as a software developer.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Python.
- Minimum 1 year of experience with Docker or containers.
- Experience developing REST APIs using frameworks such as Django and FastAPI .
- Proficiency in developing CRUD logic using ORM frameworks or libraries for integration with relational and non-relational databases, such as PostgreSQL and Elasticsearch.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with React (or other component-based JS frameworks like Vue or Angular).
- Experience with Redux Toolkit for state management.
- Familiarity with the Material UI Framework.
- Experience with Microservice Architecture development and cloud services.
- Experience with ML model integration.
- Familiarity with agile development tools such as Git for version control and Jira for task tracking.
- Proactively seek opportunities to use process improvement and re-engineering methodologies to enhance team processes.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with Terraform infrastructure-as-code.
- Proficiency with CI/CD automation tools.
- Experience with Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with Elasticsearch.
