JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
MeDHigh is an educational program dedicated to fostering curiosity, creativity, and a passion for STEM among students. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join us as the Director for our Summer STEM Program for Grades 8-10.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities:
Program Development:
- Design and develop an engaging and comprehensive curriculum that aligns with the interests and skill levels of students in grades 8-10.
- Create hands-on, interactive STEM activities and projects that promote critical thinking and problem-solving.
Leadership:
- Provide effective leadership to a team of instructors and support staff.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages collaboration and innovation.
Student Engagement:
- Implement strategies to ensure active participation and enthusiasm among students.
- Organize guest lectures, field trips, and other enrichment activities to enhance the overall learning experience.
Communication:
- Collaborate with parents, guardians, and stakeholders to communicate program details and ensure a supportive network for students.
- Regularly update program progress and achievements through various communication channels.
Logistics and Operations:
- Oversee logistical aspects of the program, including scheduling, facilities management, and resource allocation.
- Ensure a safe and secure environment for all participants.
Qualifications: - Master's degree in STEM-related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in STEM education or program management.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Knowledge of current STEM trends and educational methodologies.
