Compensation - Our Yard Jockeys are
paid hourly with starting rate of
$26.29/hour with
overtime pay over 40 hours .
Hours are 2pm - 10pm The Yard Jockey is responsible for operating diesel-powered yard trucks to move trailers and a variety of equipment around the campus between production and warehouse facilities.
The Yard Jockey makes an impact by -
- Operating diesel-powered yard trucks to move trailers to designated bay or spot according to needs of warehousing and production in a timely manner.
- Inspect loaded trailer temperature gauges to ensure proper temperatures are maintained before the driver's scheduled arrival time.
- Inspect truck for defects before and after trips; notify the Garage department of any mechanical problems.
- Maintain fuel, oil, and water levels in all units, as assigned.
- Responsible to shuttle product to and from off-site warehousing and/or drop-off sites, as assigned.
- Load and unload product, as required, and responsible for proper placing of product delivered to customer.

- Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Yard jockey experience
- Good driving history
- Valid Medical Certification and/or ability to pass DOT Physical
